I opened the Marshall Container Co. in the front of my studio in downtown Marshall, NC in the spring of 2014. It's a mix of neighborhood bar, events space, and creative workshop. Originally the bar was meant to serve as a growler-filling station but I quickly discovered my passion and skill for customer engagement and establishing a welcoming and creative space that people wanted to spend time in.
For the last 6 years I have built the MCC brand and solidified our role in the community as a creative and cultural leader.
Signature events like Rough Draught propelled us out of the food and beverage industry and into the realm of education, citizen science, and multimedia entertainment. Black Hearts Valentine's Mixer, Robot Parade, and Object Expression are annual events that bring lots of fun to the mix.
